Who We Are
After Kendall and Taylor Atkinson tragically lost their lives to Fanconi anemia the Kendall & Taylor Atkinson Foundation (KATA) was established in their memory in 2006.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, KATA’s primary mission is to fund research leading to a cure and improved treatments for FA and its related cancers.
To date, KATA has funded over 2 million dollars in research. In addition to research, KATA has funded over $400,000 in special projects that positively impact children and young adults facing the challenges of disease, disability and financial need.
KATA is governed by an 8 member Board of Directors that is committed to keeping operating costs low so as to maximize your dollars. All Board members serve in a voluntary capacity. Since 2006, KATA’s operating costs have been less than 3%. We value your dollars!
